ABOUT US
Given the constant demands from parents, students, soccer players and other institutions as well as the need for community development, Oheneba Soccer Academy was founded. Oheneba means the king’s child in the Akan language of the Ashanti tribe from Ghana, West Africa.
Oheneba Soccer Academy is made up of a dedicated team of volunteers, a professionally based advisory team and past and present soccer athletes in the United States and around the world. We are constantly adding to our team the best minds and personnel that we believe can help further our goals, mission and ultimate vision for the academy.
Our training staff consists of a vast network of ex soccer players, current professional players in different countries, University Of Northern Ohio (UNOH) and other college players in Ohio and throughout the United States.
We organize a yearly intensive skills-based summer soccer camp in Lima to train kids ranging from the ages of 4 to 12 on fundamental soccer skills set and strength and conditioning in a fun filled and mentoring environment to help these kids enjoy the game and also one day create careers out of them. We also partner with other organizations, businesses and individuals to create soccer-based events and activities to bring the best out of kids and to also foster a stronger bond with our community.
Oheneba Soccer Academy is a registered Not-For-Profit organization (not a 501c yet) located in Lima Ohio aims to serve the entire Allen county and surrounding areas.
